#2 Exotic Lays Esan Hot Pot Flavor (from Thailand)

When you think of the phrase, “Esan Hot Pot,” you’re probably thinking to yourself “What exactly does that mean?” Don’t worry, we’ll spread some knowledge about this dish over your way! So, Esan is a region in Northeast Thailand where the Hot Pot dish is a prime delicacy. See? That wasn’t super confusing, and now you’re a bonafide genius! As we were snacking on these Exotic Lays, we first noticed a beef flavor, followed by a hint of herb, then a final bitter zing that really put us through a trip while eating these chips. Seriously, the first chip you’ll eat will take you through each ingredient of the Hot Pot, and you’ll be able to taste and enjoy this delicacy all from the help of a few potato chips.

To our surprise, these Garlic Butter Scallop Flavored Lays have a mild seafood flavor with a hint of garlic to allow you to enjoy these chips by the handful. We were definitely expecting these chips to be a little overbearing, but we were honestly surprised by how tasty and yummy they are! Cheers to Thailand.

Most of us at Cloud 9 Smoke Co love avocado bagels (we know, super basic, but a homie’s gotta treat their body right), but when we saw these Avocado Cream Cheese flavored Doritos, we weren’t sure of how the two flavors would complement each other. As we were taste testing them, there was a lot of resemblance to avocado bagels! These Exotic Doritos use the tortilla chip base to cover the ‘bagel’ portion of the flavor, accompanied with a tasty avocado and cream cheese powder that honestly… really “wowed” us. We couldn’t stop munching on these snacks, and looking back, we can’t remember if it was because of how good they were or if it was due to their bite-sized form!

Listen, we know how crazy it is to hear the flavor Salted Egg when it comes to our snacks and chips, but this flavor of Lays was a bit of a hit here at Cloud 9 Smoke Co. We definitely will say this flavor of Exotic Lays is a ‘love it or hate it’ flavor, but it’s definitely worth trying! This flavor of Exotic Lays chips takes on a salty, yet slightly spicy, salted egg flavor that’s light on the grease and easy on the stomach. Without a doubt, this flavor of Lays will fill you up, satisfy your cravings, but it won’t make you hunch over in pain because of grease. We think it’s mainly due to the lack of preservatives in these chips, but regardless, it was pretty tasty!

#6 Exotic Lays Spicy Lobster Flavor (from China)

When we saw this flavor of Exotic Lays, we knew that we had to give it a shot! This flavor was way too out of our comfort zone for us to pass up. When we opened this bag of Exotic Lays, we were instantly greeted with a scent of spice followed by a slight interference of sweet lobster. To our surprise, these chips are actually really subtle in seafood flavor and allow the potato and spice flavor to take control of our snacking experience. If you like spicy chips, these Exotic Lays will definitely become one of your favorites.

Okay, before you think this is absolutely nuts, it’s not actually rabbit flavored! White Rabbit is a popular candy in China, so this flavor of Exotic Lays is really all about combining sweet and salty into one chip. This flavor of Oreos flaunts the perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness, and is surprisingly tasty considering the blend of chocolate to matcha! What we really liked about this exotic snack was the crispy, thin body of the Oreo. It was possible to enjoy these treats with minimal to no mess, which was a huge plus in our book!
