Ryan Hoffman AKA (huffy Glass) started melting glass in Evansville, Indiana in 1998. Originally mentoring under Dene Stephens, huffy honed in on his new craft. After a few years behind the torch huffy took his skills a step further by attending Penland school of crafts near Asheville, NC during the years (2001-2003). Not only attending as a student but also as an assistant instructor to his superiors. During that time exploring different glass melting techniques such as Venetian Craft, Neon Glass and Lathe work methods. Combining all those skills over the next decade Ryan started assembling his own designs and combinations of all the different techniques he had learned over the years. All this leading up to 2011 when Ryan put all his effort and time into opening Volta Glass Studio. To whom he has been the sole proprietor since 2012. This meta - terrania dual trophy recycler is one of Ryan's signature styles, with the dual uptake resembling a trophy. It has a 14mm female joint along with sculpted diamond shapes on the back of the piece which you will find on several of his designs.
